Canadian Museum of featuring
"Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy"
The proceeds of this event is to raise money for disadvantaged rural youth in El Salvador,

Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy is one of the best known of Nicaraguan Singers/songwriters.  His songs speak of the history and the life of Nicaraguans. 
His music takes its inspiration from the folklore of his country, experimenting with contemporary instruments. Luis Enrique has written on ecological themes, the battle against AIDS and solidarity among handicapped children. His songs played an important part in the struggle against the Somoza dictatorship, as well as, in solidarity with Vietnam, Cuba, Chile, El Salvador and Guatemala.

He has appeared on stage with some of the most important singers of Latin America, which include : Joan Manuel Serrat, Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Mercedes Sosa, Vicente Feliu, Angel and Isabel Parra, just to name a few.
