2012 Observers Delegation Details

Dates: 5-13 March, 2012
Costs: The in-country cost for participants is $800 CAD which includes coordination, local transportation, translation (Spanish-English), observer training, food & water, and housing (shared rooms with 3 or more) from 5-13 March. Please note that this does not include travel costs to El Salvador.
If you do not require housing, your in-country participation cost is $700 CAD. Please ensure that your alternate housing arrangements are in the capital, San Salvador. Also, please consider making an additional tax-deductible contribution of $100 to SalvAide’s Education & Awareness Program.
Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements to El Salvador and mandatory travel health insurance (we recommend Sol Andino Travel). You are free to arrive in El Salvador before the start of the Delegation program and/or to stay beyond the program end date; however, you are responsible for your own living costs and arrangements outside the Delegation dates.

Pre-Departure Training: We are planning to hold pre-departure training through the Centre for Inter-Cultural Learning for Delegation participants. Tentative dates for the training are 4-5 February 2012. The location is to be determined (Ottawa, Montreal, or Toronto). Travel, accommodations, and per diems are funded by the Centre for Inter-Cultural Learning.
